I would like to get some recommendations on places to visit in the Black forest region('Schwarzwald'). Is it a possible one day trip region or we need to spend more time.

It is a wonderful place. I would suggest at least a weekend as it takes about 3 hours driving to go and 3 hours to come back. You cannot miss Titisee. It is stunning with its lake. If you can book a hotel overlooking the lake there.
