Santorini - early Sep

Can anyone give advice on the best way to get to Santorini by air? Doesn't seem to be any direct flight from Geneva. Heard that it is a great Greek island.

I went there twice, for work actually, hehe ...
You just book a flight to Athens and then you get a domestic flight to Santorini, much easier and faster than going by boat.

Ok, you fly to Athens with Olympic Airways or Swiss and then take a domestic flight to Santorini. I would suggest Aegean airlines, as it is usually much cheaper than Olympic. Otherwise, I always enjoy very much the trip by boat which should be about 5 hours if my memory is good.
I'm sure you'll enjoy Santorini, it's really a beautiful island (one of the best Greek islands). I would suggest though that you try and go to the islands around it also...distance is not that big and you can get to the other islands in a few hours only. One week may be too long on Santorini (it's a beautiful island but not very big!)... Don't hesitate to ask me, should you need more info... I'm from that region!

... I used to be a hard core diver for some time (4* diver), but the last 2-3 years I didn't do much under water anymore for various reasons and actually stopped completely after I moved to Geneva. Perhaps I'll get going again during the summer holidays, we'll see ... In any case, if we ever bump into each other, we should definitely talk about it ;-)
