Dear Neighbors--

Some foreign friends and I are interested in renting a mountain home for a week in the nearby French or Italian alps in July.  I just arrived in Switzerland a few weeks ago so know little about options.  Would you be able to recommend a general area/town and/or any specific lodging options? We'd like a place that is within 2 hours drive of Geneva and offers a variety of outdoor and cultural activities.
