Three Valleys / Les Menuires - 16th - 23rd March - How to get there, anyone going valleys on these dates?

I am having a bit of bother organising how to get to the Les Menuires on 16th March, or even 15th March would be fine if I can find somewhere to stay for a night.

The situation is we have a 14 man fully booked chalet, all the party travelling from UK and arrive Moutiers by 6am. I want to be there at a similar time so was planning on a hotel Friday 15. But no hotels to be found.

So I was hoping to get train or bus, but seems I can only get there by midday. Kinda sucks.

Any solutions / ideas on travel tips?

another alternative, email the Office de tourism at Moutiers and ask for a list of addresses for bed and breakfast 'chez l'habitant' for the Friday night.

..or in fact just ask for the list of all B&B at/close to Moutiers. Maybe there are also some small guest houses that still have space too?

Thanks, yeah I tried these, unfortunately they do not help.

The combination of train and bus schedules means using either of these will not get me to Les Menuires until approx midday on Saturday, I effectively lose a day.

So I thought well I will just leave Friday afternoon, get there late at night, and stay in a hotel. Yet, I cant find a hotel available, all fully booked or several hundred which I don't want to pay really.

I may have had a break through on a hotel 10km away for 88chf, not ideal but at least means I can get there at a decent time.

Good shout, I will try that. I suspect there has to be some bed and break or guest house type things that are perhaps not online so easily available as there is always people in town looking that they dont need to look for custom so much.

Everywhere seems booked unless I want to pay a silly price or very far away.

As per my above post, there is hotel showing about 10km away, thats not too bad at 88chf, maybe the hotel might run a collection service from moutiers if I ask nicely

If only eurostar stopped in Zurich or Geneva
