Is there a cheap/easy way to get from Geneva to Luxembourg? I want to visit a friend of mine there for the weekend but flights look like they will cost around 250 euros or 400 chf, depending on airlines (which is a bit expensive for me just going for the weekend) and train appears to take a total ridiculous 11hrs. Basically does anyone have any ideas on how to do this journey cheaply? Surely there's a better train or bus? Only other option I've found is to get a cheap flight to brussels, then a 3 hr train, but the times don't work out well for my particular journey.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Lizzie,
Trains take some time, but not 11 hours - rather, between 7 and 8 hours. Travelling via Basel is probaby cheapest.
