for the hotel or B and B , it really depends of your budget, can you give precisions about it.
how many time will you stay in paris? when do you plan to go? do you prefer museums, monuments, gardens,...? there aere som many things to do that I nedd more informations bout your tatses to help you
can you stand in very touristic crowded areas?
for the places to see:I can suggest you to go to
-the Mouffetard street in the latin quarter with the best ice-creams (45, rue Mouffetard Gelati d’Alberto)
_Le quartier de la Butte aux cailles (Metro Corvisart)
-le quartier du Marais
-gardens: le jardin des plantes, le jardin du luxembourg...
- of course les quais de seine, and by night visit paris on the seine on a water-bus
-museums: le louvre, le mus?ee de l'orangerie, centre Beaubourg (modern art)...
- la Mosqu?e de Paris ( where you can eat too and spend a time in the beautiful traditionnal hammam)
to eat :
-Le Valentin, delicious patisserie in a charming street passage Jouffroy, m?tro Grands-Bouvelvards.
_Mariage Fr?res, dans le Marais, brunch, lunch, tea-time, M?tro St Paul
-H?tel Raphael, 17 avenue Kleber, important parisian h?tel, buffet grandiose
-Caf? Marly, to sun the sunshine on the louvre ( quite expensive, but very beautiful place)
- romantic diner : Le Coupe Chou, 5?me arrondissement. reserve an isolated table. Or restaurant "Au pied du Sacr? Coeur" in quartier montmartre
- for a hot chocolate : Ang?lina, rue de Rivoli
- for the view: restaurant "Le ciel de Paris "
I hope it helps you, but if you want more informations, I need more details about the things you like

Thanks karmenkru!
We'll probably be going once or twice to paris over the next few months, but would like to cover most during the first visit..
This time we'll be in paris for 3 nights/4 days. this being our first visit to paris, the things that we are definitely planning on are - eiffel tower, disneyland and louvre museum.
we're looking forward to a relaxed shedule as compared to one packed with every tourist place out there. if it's possible to explore on foot, i'd like to know what options we have.
thanks again for your help!
regds,
kimerton

I think that you can explore the quarters I suggested you by foot, and you will need the metro to move fom an area to another area (be carefull of the pickpockets in the metro!)
to visit louvre and others museums at night as suggest CDNSarah is a good idea, but when it's free be carefull it can makes you wait long for the entrance.
about hostels if you have a small budget you can book on line on http://www.hostelworld.com/, from 20 euros to 100 euros per personn per night , and you can see what others costumers thought about those hostels
or if you have a more comfortable budget try here
http://www.hotels-paris-rive-gauche.com/
and have a loook on its very interesting blog in english to give you ideas for your travel for what to see and what to do
http://www.hotels-paris-rive-gauche.com/blog/index.php/en
if you have other questions, don't hesitate
