what to do for a wknd?

where would you go if you wanted a really inspiring last minute weekend away from geneva? is there a hidden gem somewhere nearby? or is Paris it?

It's not really the best time of year to go, but we have spent weekends in all of these regions of France in the off-season and had a really nice time:
In Provence the towns of Avignon and Arles are very nice.
In Burgundy we rented a car, explored the countryside and stayed in Beaune.
In Alsace we loved the town of Colmar, it was so cute. We were there for the Christmas Markets, so I'm not sure what else is up that way.
And of course there is the coast (a bit further), Nice & the surrounding area is wonderful for a weekend away.

engelberg is a nice quiet town and a nice getaway if u are looking for peace. and u can go to titlis frm there.

Some ideas... but it is a bit difficult as i don't know if you like outdoors, great hotels, have children, shopping, etc....
