Hi all,
For anybody who has never heard about Aikido, it is a very effective martial art, which relies on natural movements rather than strength, which makes it an ideal form of self defence for men and woman of all ages and sizes.
Iwama Zurich (http://www.iwamaaikido.ch) is starting a beginners course on 12th January 2017. The dojo is near the station of Oerlikon in Zurich, and so easily reachable.
What is unique about this club, compared to the others in Zurich, is it is taught by a high ranked Japanese teacher (6th Dan), who was initially trained by the founder of this style of Aikido in Japan.
And most importantly it is taught in English!
Their are students from all over Europe, so it's also a perfect opportunity to brush up on your language skills.
The training is focused on the coordination of body movement and breathing, as well as the importance and impact of body physics.
To help students gain a greater understanding and to allow their bodies to get use to new movements each lesson starts with joint mobility exercises and basic footwork practice.
Why not come and see for yourself? Within weeks you will find improvements in your stability, mobility, endurance and strength.
Even if you never did martial arts in your life, this could be a good opportunity to enter a fascinating world and culture.
Please visit the website at http://www.iwamaaikido.ch/ or for more info or visit their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/IwamaAikidoZurich.
Or if you prefer please contact me directly.
Cheers,
Alex
