I'm organising my sister's hen night (day) in Zurich on an upcoming Saturday. There will be about 10 of us and I'd like to propose a dance lesson/workshop as part of the program in between bruch and a night out - salsa would be nice, but open to other ideas (Bollywood... etc.) Just a one/two-hour thing in the afternoon that even total beginners would enjoy. Some silly fun for a bunch of girlies! Any of you Zurichers have a recommendation? I'm based in Geneva so don't know the ZH scene and no idea where to start a search... I looked at SalsaRica but there are so many schools listed I don't know where to start. Please reply via glocals or 079 276 39 56. Thanks you!! Michal.

Ciao! Salsarica is a very good school. I'm pretty sure they can also organize a semi-private lesson. It's a very serious / professional school... Reading the "special event" you are going to organize, I would try to find a real cuban teacher... Try with Paco at http://www.cubandances.ch/profil.php
Many other schools are listed on http://www.salsa.ch/schools.php?idregion=ZH
Have great fun!

Thank you Lorenzo! I sent an e-mail to the address you suggested (Paco?) My problem is that looking at a listing of dance schools, I have no idea how to choose and which one(s) to contact. Let's see if and how Paco replies, maybe this first one will work out!
Cheers

You could all learn the Thriller dance, then you can dance it through out the night in a drunken state.
I was teaching it last Saturday and it was good fun - though it will be extra challenging in high heels! ;)
