Would anyone care to share good independant addresses to get nice quality furniture in the Zurich City region.
I have heard about travelling to Germany but I dont have a car so in or around Zurich

To be honest I find independent central furniture stores in Zürich prohibitively expensive. I'm sure the quality is of the highest calibre but they are pricey as hell. Alternatives to IKEA are Interio and then, a bit more pricey, Pfister, but these are still chains and not independents.
I just remembered there are a couple of clusters of small-ish furniture shops quite close to where I live:

If you wander around using Street View you'll probably get an idea.

That 2nd one was perhaps not so helpful so I've moved the pointer to an actual furniture shop here.
