I'm a newcomer to Zurich and glocals. Very pleased to be in such a great city and to have found such a good community. Hoping to meet other glocals soon.
At the risk of sounding very cheesy - I'm thinking about sneaking out of work for a few hours to watch the wedding on friday and have a drink or 2 at the same time. Does anyone know of a good pub or bar that will be screening it? Anyone else in Zurich thinking about doing the same thing?

Funny to read your note. I was just 2 days ago in our London offices and guess what? The team discussed on plans for that special day! Unfortunately i'm based in CH :-(
Nevertheless i'm off and around next week, so if you feel we could have a spontaneous drink? I plan to go to the NMM on Thursday night so if you're joining, we take it from there...

We (The British Cheese Centre and the Pie Shop) are hosting a Royal Wedding party on the night before the wedding at the Viadukt Markthalle on Limmatstrasse. We start at 6 with some special cheese tastings, the Pie Shop are also making a Royal Pie with Salmon, and then move onto the market bar until very late.
We are expecting over 100 guests as well as the press (and maybe TV too). You just need to get dressed up for a Royal Wedding!

Thanks for your reply. Thursday night NMM sounds like a great idea. Seems like there is a lot going on that night what with this and the pre wedding party in the next post. I have a feeling I should be asking for the day off on Friday

World Radio Geneva are sending a journalist who would like to interview some folk, if you want to be on the radio let me know by 7pm and I'll introduce you.
