Can anyone please recommend a swimming pool in Zurich where it would be good to take a 6 month year old for his first ever pool experience.

Yes, take him to altstetten!! i'ts fantastic, he will like it as there is a toboggan, and a warm pool but only opened to kids during certain time of the day and weekends.

Otherwise the one in Adliswil is quite very good too and bigger, so it's less noisy but try both and you'll see :-)
