moods and widder bar for jazz, helsinki for less trendy indy music, tuesdays is live music at Henrici but they are mostly a coffee bar, cabaret voltaire might be able to arrange a private activity. 

it would probably help to know the age ranges of your guests and is this a formal event or just a casual after dinner going out option? do you think they would prefer a club where there is dancing and lot's of hip people, or would they prefer a more private place with great ambience? In Zürich you have many choices, everything from industrial spaces to very sophisticated places with original master paintings on the walls.

Thanks for your initial thoughts. The party I need to organize is for a group of delegates that will attend a conference taking place in Zurich. We don't want it to be formal but the age range will be 35-50 years and +. We were thinking about something original, not the average night-club that can be found in every European city. We want people to have fun and do something different than a boring cocktail party in a hotel...
