Cablecom: a pure disaster
I moved to a new place on October 31 and decided to try Cablecom for the home telefone and the ADSL.
I signed a contract with Cablecom on October 6, for a home phone / ADSL service starting on November 1st. I also made a Power of Attorney for them to get the transfer of my phone number from Swisscom.
From that point on, everything went wrong. Cablecom signed me twice up with two different customer numbers, sent the modem to the wrong adress and never sent the Power of Attorney to Swisscom. I called several times. They told me that they had made mistakes, would sort things out, but never did it. Three weeks after moving in, I still had no phone nor ADSL.
Luckily, I was able to break the contract (I sent a registered letter with the facts and a reference to the Code des obligations - the swiss law dealing with contracts). I went back to Swisscom. It took a few days longer than promised, but they connected me.
