Brand new immaculate foot and nail spa delivering state of the art nail treatments. US imported I-spas, Essie products, only, open from 8.30 to 20.00, from Monday to Friday and Saturday on appointment.
The I-spas alone are worth a visit - shiatsu massage, color therapy, foot jacuzzi, integrated laptops and Wi-Fi connection... If you come once, you will come again ;-) We are located in Malagnou, close to the Museum and not far from Eaux-Vives (Terrassière). Easy access by public transportation (No. 27 or 20, stop Bois Gentil or Tram No.12, 16 or 17, stop Roches)

I had a decadent pedicure at Cocoon with an amazing foot rub. I went in a bit embarrassed after a summer of sandals. It has been a while since my last professional pedicure. Well they worked my feet and they look beautiful. I chose bachelorette blush - this flirty pink that even got comments in my yoga class. I am writing this review today, 3 weeks after my appointment, because my husband this morning said, "they really did a great job on your pedicure." I thought, if my husband is still noticing three weeks later, that is a pedicure worth letting people know about - especially with this lovely Indian Summer - I am still wearing sandals!

Hi Lola! Sorry to read that you did not enjoy the service at Cocoon... but I would like to take this opportunity to let you and the other customers know that the internet is back on the individual laptops!, the nespresso is still offered, we have the latest Vogue, Instyle, Marie Claire and Elle (and some for the gentlemen too). Now if you don't like the music, you should definetely let the technician know - her job is to make you comfortable in addition to applying a perfect polish. One word on the polish - Essie is an award winning brand with the trendiest and sexiest colors on the market but like any other brand, it does not apply well above a certain temperature - so if you came during this summer's heat wave, this may explain why the polish could have bubbled. But here again, Lola - you should never hesitate to let us know if you're not happy with the job done... Finally - a big thank you for letting people know that at Cocoon we will do everything to accomodate the clients busy schedules and give appointments beyond the usual opening hours and during week ends. So Ladies - to your phones! The fall collection has just arrived and it's gorgeous!!!!... and we will give glocals clients a 10% discount! I hope to see you again at Cocoon and I hope to make it really special for you this time! Yasmine

Cocoon is one of those OK salons, its nothing to rave about and a bit too expensive for what you get but you pay for the chairs not the personal service. The service has never been a strong point with Coccon (Ive been a few times now) and the mani / pedi's can be a hit or miss and the polish is never applied properly. Overall its OK though if your not a perfecionist but its not a great ambiance (bring your work with you, dont expect to relax). I only go to Coccon when my preferred place is full and at least here its not busy and you always get an appointment. Go, but but dont expect anything special.

I feel its only fair to give an update on my experience with Cocoon. After my previous review, Yasmine, the owner of the place contacted me, trying to understand what went wrong during my visit.

She offered me a half price pedi done by herself. I consider this as a very professional approach and a nice gesture towards the customer. She really cares for her business and takes customer's feedback as it is intended, to learn and address the flaws.

During my appointment I received countless glasses of water ;) very nice feet massage which seems to be Yasmine's specialty, to sum up, a great pedi appointment.

As unfortunate as my first experience was, the second one was incomparably different.

I give full rating not only for a nice pedi but also for the way Yasmine reacted and managed the whole situation..

Last but not least I'd like to address Reka, who seems to me didn't grasp the concept of the glocals guide. We are supposed to give a review of our experiences and not of other member's reviews. I also believe that if one advertises certain services (which differentiate it from other similar businesses), one is expected to provide those. As the wifi service wasn't available during my visit I did included it to my review and w/o investigating beyond received explanation "we are sorry our wifi doesn't work today". The fact that I work on PC all day long, yet I prefer browsing the net to reading a magazine or chatting makes me indeed a 'different type of customer' however I find it absolutely irrelevant.

I too went there using the buyclub coupon and agree with what was said below. The technician is a nice girl but mani/pedi was the worst I have had so far. Last month pregnant during the (rare) hot day I was not offered even a glass of water, had to ask for.. the wifi on the laptop was out of order so unless you wish to play a solitaire there was nothing else to do for next hour and half. pedi took extremely long. mani was ok. for none the technician used a top coat, I had to ask for it.
I don't blaim the unexperienced young girl who is obviously trying to do her best, but her boss, who employes and put in charge someone not qualified.
One more thing which was very dissapointing, while advertising NY style spa, Cocoon should specify in their offer their capacity. I bought two vouchers to go with my gf for some pampering but they can take only one at the time. Well I was offered we will be taken together but time x2.
To sum up, Im not coming back.

Used my buyclub voucher. I arrived on a hot day and Yasmine did everything she could to make it cool and comfortable for me. The environment was very nice and the chair was great.
My only issue was the nail polish on my hands has little bubbles underneath the top coat. I am not sure if it was due to the heat or what?
My feet feel great and I left very relaxed!

I am a regular client at Cocoon and so surprised to read the reviews below - Especially about the hopsitality and the water. Last time I was there, Yasmine ordered sparkling water from her own house for a client who did not drink tap water! I personally always get perfect treatments on hands and feet - they do a really nice job at removing the dead skin on the heels and an amazing foot and lower leg massage. I also love the polish collection they have, so trendy and elegant - all of this at a VERY reasonable price for Geneva's standard (100CHF the full spa pedicure). I always leave with a bright smile on my face and I definetely recommend Cocoon to my friends...

i went there with a buy club coupon. It was ok, but as written below, the technician was very unexperienced (though very friendly!!). Still, probably wouldn't go there if I had to pay the full price...

I'm just returning from a manucure and pedicure at Cocoon and it was just perfect! The place is brand new and gorgeous, the chairs are amazing and it's so clean and hygienic, it's worth a special mention. I felt really pampered from the minute I came in until I left the place. I was offered a lovely Nespresso and could check my mails as my feet were soaking in hot water with mineral scented salts. The technician was quiet and meticulous and took all her time to work on my hand and feet. I did not feel like she was rushing me out of my treatment. I was also particularly pleased that she did not cut too much cuticles and rather massaged it with oil to soften it - i am particularly sensitive and hate it when they cut so much skin or even make you bleed... My first time at cocoon will not be my last!

A breath of big city in small Geneva...
Great ambience, great products (Essie) - super friendly technician - she is a bit on the slow side though on the pedicure;but the end result is definitely worth the wait as well as the great massage chairs!
Can really recommend the place.

I came here as my normal place was fully booked and I will never come back - ever. Its a shame the chairs didnt do the pedicure instead of the technician as i have never had such an unprofessional experience 'ever'! I complained but the tech was basically rude (in fact ignored my comments ) she didnt care but charged me the full price anyway. When I read dantan's comments I was furious to now know the tech was not even qualified (it all makes sense now)!
Shame on cocoon for trying to con the expat community by pretending to be a new york style nail bar when they are anything but........

I wish I had seen this review before going to this place. This "technician" is completely unskilled. My friend actually asked her is she was licensed and she admitted that she will not complete her course until later this year. So she is an unlicensed technician charging exorbitant prices for substandard work.

I'm a NYer and have gotten much better mani/pedis at the most basic nail shop. The pedicure was a joke, there was almost no massage or exfoliation. The polish was applied unevenly. For the manicure she did not clean underneath the nails with the orange stick. I will definitely not return.

Really nice salon with great pedicure chairs, but worst manicure and pedicure I have had.
