4 stars because the place is always crammed. and lately all their pizzas have started to taste the same. its a safe pizza choice - u wont be disappointed
Was fantastic food! The service was good, which is pretty rare for a Geneva restaurant. The pizzas are good, lasagne was good, but try the special pizza with the steak, which was simply out of this world!Great Italian food. The prosecco and Rose wine both tasted weird so don't order that.
Good pizza. Pleasant staff. Three stars because i feel that it is a bit too much of a pizza factory to justify the prices. Overall ok though.
Service is good and the food is good also.
I love the tiramisu there and the see food pizza

Da Paolo is nice if a little too cramped and "factory like" for my taste. Pizza and food good but don't feel that it deserves the best pizza in Geneva reputation. Da Gabriele is much better in my opinion.
Besides pretty good food (been there few times, food was always decent), the waiters are actually polite and smiling which is not the case with most, especially Italian restaurants in GVA.
I agree about the squashing people in and it not being a relaxing place, but the food is damn good!
One bad dish though (can't remember the name but is was a huge extremely thin piece of snitzel, yuk).
The Carbonara rules!!!!

I love the pizza at Da Paolo (and so does my Italian fiance).
Apologies for the shameless self-marketing, but I recently added a pizza league table to my restaurant blog:

See if you agree...

Ok so despite the fact that I think that this place is quite overrated, I've never had bad food there (actually it's always been very good) and always had impeccable service (though I suspect it's because I always tend to be accompanied by a 'regular'). It's always crowded and if you don't know the waiters then you get crappy service but if you are a loyal customer and have money and go all the time (or just go with someone who is) then yes it's a good restaurant hehe
Not the best pizza. But still pretty good.
But their Spaghetti Frutti di Mare rocks! A huge bowl full of all kinds of seafood goodness!

"Not only the pizza is bad, but if you just try to order a dish that is not a pizza, then it's a nightmere. The ingredients used and the cooking of the pasta show unequivocably that in the kitchen they do not have a clue. Da Paolo benefits from the reviews made once upon a time. To be voided at all costs."
"Crap services, waiter forgot part of my order which i was most displeased about. And pizza was warm. How is this the best pizza in town? Won't go there again in a hurry."
"Went there for lunch, salad was too simple, but Risotto very good, they also offered second service. A bit a factory, but at least no dissappointment...."
"Pizza factory, please have a seat, order, eat, pay, thank you sir, see you again, next please!"
"The best pizza place in town. Not only is the food excellent, the atmosphere is fantastic. You can eat late every day and there's always people: no price can be put on this !"
This restaurant is known to have the best pizza in town. Thou the pizza is pretty good i think the reputation is not totally deserved. The pizza is Good (even for an italian) and best of most of the other italian places in town. but they have only the very basic type and are not too happy if you want to change something. The motto of the staff is 'squeeze' as many people as possible and eat fast and leave please. So not the best place for a romantic evening or a relaxing dinner with friends.
