Nice floating experience in a basin, not a small capsule as I had expected. Worth a try. Very clean and calm atmosphere. I enjoyed it.

Went for a float session and really enjoyed it. The shower area was clean and the staff welcoming. Floating is very relaxing and I can recommend the experience for anyone seeking relaxation.

Hello everybody!
I am surprised with all the bad ratings and stories about FLOAT Spa. Since the new owners took over this summer I have been a couple of times for a mani and a pedi and I just loved it. The girls were really professional and they use the well known OPI products I just love. I left with soft nicely colored babyfeet which lasted for a couple of weeks!
Also the reception was friendly (the new owner himself!) and I like the relax/waiting room, installed already by the previous owner but reorganised by the new ones, with the big chairs and the sweet candy box :)! I always feel relaxed when I arrive early for a treatment and need to wait! Once, due to my strict schedule, the new owner opened half an hour earlier so I could get my pedicure and leave in time. That is what I call service!!!
With respect to the other member's comments I can just say that I have never tried the Float because that is just not my cup of tea but it is my favorite beauty address in Geneva!

Dear All

A small update about Fatiha, yes it is true she left our spa.
Fatiha was working half time at the Richmond hotel and Half time in our Spa. Richmond offered her another half time at the reception of the spa. So now you all know and please say hello from the Float Spa Team when you pass by to her :)

About some other negative points, we took over the Spa recently and we did a lot of changes, together with the previous owner Loren to guarantee the spa becomes back on the level as Loren wanted.

I apologise for the people who had a negative experience.
Some of them we are in contact with, but a certain group of people don't reply or we can't even find them ever came to us doing a treatment. This is sad for the forum of glocals.

I can say that we have a lot of happy returning customers and hope to see you all for a trial, contact me her on glocals and I send you a voucher, Because what is better then testing yourself ?

Anyway, I invite you all to have a look at our spa, the shower, the Float Room, the massage rooms etc.

I am the Float Spa Manager and wanted to give some replies via this way.

I liked the interior it was lovely and shows good taste if you like a boudoir type of design.

The float was horrible and the entire area of the changing room which is dimly lit and not practical needs an update and does not reflect the same style as the waiting room.

The shower area is not clean and there was hair stuck to the shower wall which made me shiver as it obviously was not cleaned between clients.

Unfortunately I think the Float spa is a 'has been' place taken over by new owners who do not have experience. The ambiance is cold and the staff do not seem happy to be there.

New management needed.

So both of these girls have now left the spa and I did despair when I heard that. However I really wanted to keep going to my favourite place so I pledged to try the new owner and staff. My first experience with the new staff was awful and I wrote and told the owner I wouldn't be back. Then Loren the previous owner convinced me to try them once again. Which I did only out of loyalty to Loren. I had a few appointments with a girl called Fatiha and she was AMAZING. However when I tried to book her once again I was told she was also gone (that it was her decision (a tad defensive)). Again I was asked to try another new girl who could offer the same level of treatment as Fatiha which I did and when I arrived after a particularly stressful day, the therapist was expecting to do a treatment I didn't want. I explained what I actually wanted and she told me she couldn't do it. No reason was given. She did a partial treatment and I left just too exhausted to argue or point out my issue. When I got home I wrote to the spa owner and explained, he took responsibility for the error and pledged a free treatment the following week. I will not be accepting the free treatment I am just too disgusted and fedup with the demi service he is offering.

So just for you all to be aware, FLOAT sure isn't what it used to be ........ unfortunately.

Great place! and in good location next to Plainpalais!

Super attractive design feels like french boudoir from glossy magazine

very attentive girls, some speak english, spanish, french and further on the list.
owner is there most of the time and gives very helpful advices on what they could offer.

first time I came there for Float. but they have much more than it.
i did pedicure yesterday with Martha - super tender and attentive. i left with the baby feet:)

highly recommended

Upside: beautiful interior done by the previous owner.

Downside: hard to find and ugly location in a horrible dirty looking street, dirty used shampoo bottles (yuk - dirty), hair on the floor in the shower, didnt tell me when i booked that I needed to bring my own hairbrush and hair conditioner. The neck pillow deflated and I couldnt inflate it as it had a hole in it. No other one in the tank making the whole float experience unbearable. The area were you change is very dark. The pedicure chair is in the middle of the waiting room! Horrible place to do feet because when the next client walked in my feet were being scrubbed right in her face (she was 1 meters away). A note to the owner: CHANGE the pedicure area so that its not in the waiting area its really not professional the client feels a little more than ridiculous sitting on a thone in the middle of the room. The manicure was really basic (the tech is obviously not experienced) and the tables are really small and not comfortable at all. The overall mani/pedi and float experience comes down to a 1 out of 5 and NO i would never ever go back.

Interior design overall is breath taking and the furniture is so beautiful especially in the beige room. The float is spacious and airy. I have tried floatation in many other cities but this is the best room by far. Nice touch that they have starlights in the ceiling. I love the colours..pink room, beige room and orange in the float side. How happy!

Dear Dajleeng, Thank you very much for your review. We recently had a new girl join our team. She is a wonderful beautician, speaks english and is and fully qualified but needs to finish our "float" training also so that our clients do not see a "gap" between therapists. You are of course, welcome to book in with your favourite therapist in the meantime but rest assured our new recruit is shaping up to be hot in demand! Watch this space! Have a lovely day and i look forward to seeing you in the spa again soon. Loren

the atmosphere is stil great, but I really prefer the old girls pedicure, tried one with a new one and wasn't very happy, she failed to do the back of one foot properly, and put very little cream in the end although I have insisted that I need it since my feet are quite dry. this kind of things never happened with the old girls and I don't care how good is their French or English, they understand and do good job. I would stil come back but will book with the old girls only.

I used the voucher for the float, and had a facial.
The float room is great, better than the two I tried in other cities. Not so claustrofobic (although I panicked a little when I needed 3 attempts to open the door - but I have a shoulder problem)
Request: Please less "fruity" bottles in the shower!
The facial is indeed good. (including great eyebrows)
Close to perfect, nice touch that arms7hands are also massaged. I just found that some details were lacking: of one hand the fingers were massaged, not of the other (sounds trivial but you keep feeling the difference), I was not offered a supporting pillow below my knees, some small things.
But think I will come back because quality and atmosphere are good.

Excellent service. I have bought many gift vouchers here and they have even arranged to bring the vouchers to my work place on foot. My wife now visits with our little boy. A very relaxed place which is not common in Geneva.

P:S In light of the current offer i thought i would add that i tried the float room last night and having stumbled home in a daze i then slept from 8:30 pm to five thirty this morning. It is certainly worth a try for anyone with back problems or sleep problems.

The float room is a unique experience. Use the ear plugs for total silence. The room is quite soundproof already but ear plugs are important as then you hear literally nothing at all....It helped my jet lag and lower back issues. It also releases the tension around the neck. I tried the pack of 3 introductory floats (one offered by the owner which was nice) which is good as the first time i did not like it or get the point, the second time i relaxed a lot more and the third time i slept! Now i have the abo! It is actually worth doing just for the skin softening benefits and the salt removes build up on the hair. My hair was like silk for days afterwards..

Boyfriend bought the buyclub voucher. Best pedicure and manicure in Geneva with Jenny.

I also tried the famous facial with Danay and i have to say that it was the most amazingly effective facial i have ever had. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! x My glowing skin thanks you.

Update: Pilates barre class was incredible. Very prof teacher: very adapted to my level (beginner!) and very good for legs and tum. Beats gym. xx I am the new Nathalie Portman ha ha

I have organised many spa days for my partner here since we moved to Geneva. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the girls and my partner has been a regular here for over a year now with not a bad word to say. She particularly loves her facials with Danay. The new Sunday opening means that i also get to play golf on Sundays now so 5 stars no question.

I am a retired and very fussy woman indeed and i give Float Spa 5 stars. One star for Danay's amazing facials (though she is quite hard going sometimes), another star for not doing the usual Zen attitude deco that i am sick of seeing, another star for being reasonably priced for Geneva's standards, a forth star for the late night opening and the future Sunday opening (starting in May this year) and a fifth more star for always being open and down to earth. 5 stars my dears.

You cannot go wrong with:

Danay for facial (has also improved my skin more than any other facial treatment ever), Danay's Swedish massage (she is small but has hands of steel).

Pedicures by Jeni are amazing. She is learning French so girls give her a chance! We are all in a foreign country and how many of us are fluent? (indeed i have friends who after 10 years still can not speak french).. seems a bit of a nasty thing to complain about when we leave with lovely feet!

Spa is clean, luxurious, we are allowed to nibble and drink as many nespresso's as we like..

After years of being a business owner (though thankfully no more) i feel sorry to see bad reviews on this place when they clearly try so hard.

I went to Float Spa for the first time a little while ago to try a float session and manicure and pedicure. The float session wasn't for me, I felt too hot and just couldn't relax into it but that could be just me. I didn't really like the fact that outdoor footwear was permitted in the changing area outside the shower and float room. I'm sure it's cleaned after each use but I didn't feel comfortable getting changed afterwards tiptoeing around. The results of the manicure and pedicure were very good but I was a bit disappointed the pedi didn't include massage as stated. I'm not sure of the therapists name but she seemed nice even though we didn't speak much as she didn't understand French or English. The therapists did speak a lot in Spanish between themselves but when I asked for something they were very accommodating and managed to fit me in for an extra treatment at the last minute. It was nice but I did expect more of a 'pampering' experience.

Absolute HACK job on eyebrows. After explicitly requesting thicker, natural looking brows, I received a pencil thin, uneven mess.

I would also like to put a highest rating for this place! I was there last week for the first time for manicure and it was just amazing! Interior is so nice, girls working there are so friendly, and, by the way, manicure is a very quality one. Highly recommend ;)

I have worked in the beauty industry for 30 years so my standards are high. Danay's facial is the best i have had and has all but cured a particularly bad skin problem. I can now go without makeup on weekends and do not scare the birds away. Thank you Danay.

i do not know where all the girls with amazing reviews for this place went before but the place is seriously low standard. Bad quality, expensive..i would not recommend this place to anyone who is used to really high standard. waxing is kind of ok-ish, but how can it be done in a room without sufficient light?!!! i do not know girls...

A + service. Love this place. I am a die hard pedicure junkie (from New York) and have been having pedicures here since they opened 18 months ago. It has never once taken more than 45 minutes (they run a tight ship), huge variety of colors to choose from (brought to you on a silver platter nonetheless) and if the girls are too busy to chat (as they sometimes are in the middle of schedule planning) i know that i can drink all the nespresso i want (free), read the latest magazines or watch a movie on my own personal dvd player...PILATES CLASSES ARE AMAZING!!!

What an amazing place! The best facial ever! Danay does an absolutely great job at that and the massage... mind-blowing. And yes finally someone who can do pedi and mani properly. Lots of colors to chose from, actually. The ambiance is so glamorous, and cozy at the same time, and Loren is always making you feel like a queen. It has become my second home. I love it! There is no better place in Geneva, seriously!

A friend suggested Float spa for a facial and so far i have tried the facial with Danay, manicure, pedicure and the floatroom. The facial was very well done with lots of extractions which for me makes the facial worthwhile. It is probably the most effective facial i have ever had. Manicure and pedicure were also excellent. The float room is well worth trying. It took me a while to relax but i slept like a baby that night and the salts really soften your skin. I have bought gift certificates for all my friends for christmas! I have also had about 20 sessions of pilates by now with Lauren and have almost transformed my body. Float spa is my one stop address in Geneva for all my beauty needs. All this combined with very down to earth girls makes this spa a winner. Ps. the lash extensions are also amazing...

I spent the day here last month. Had a facial, back massage and pedicure/manicure. Would give them ten out of ten for the massage and manicure/pedicure (pedicures are the best ever here). Nine out of ten for the facial only because they really focus on extractions and i am a bit of a baby with those. However can't complain at how squeaky clean my skin was afterwards. I have also signed up for pilates classes when i move to Geneva in January. Had two classes while in Geneva and they were excellent. The teacher (can't remember her name, Laura i think) had just had her THIRD baby a few weeks earlier (think he was just 3 weeks old) and already had a flat tummy so that convinced me of it's merits!! Also i felt the deepest muscle soreness for days... ouch...

I found this little gem by chance while walking home down one of the side roads in Plainpalais. Really friendly and down to earth girls, beautiful little day spa with sweeties and coffee and english tatler :-). I highly recommend their pilates classes which are the best i have had (and i have been doing machine pilates for 8 years now in London). Also have to say that the pedicure was the best ever (no messing around - they leave you with baby soft feet) and the bikini wax was ace. I have also had a facial with Danay who extracted things i didn't even know i had... Great team spirit and very sweet attentive girls. I have been here three times in one week. :-)

I went to this spa on Saturday... had a float and a massage and a facial. Brilliant. Staff are really friendly and attentive. They do Dermalogica facials which i have always done in the UK so full marks to them....i would say that they match bliss spa in London (where i was a regular) for service and efficient treatments. I felt so welcome that i stayed an hour extra just to eat sweets and read magazines. Really pleased. From Jessica

My second home. I cannot praise this place enough. My nails continuously look immaculate due to the amazing gel available. Loren and Danay have become two of my best friends and I always look forward to lounging about on the huge velvet sofas, drinking tea and muching on jelly babies whilst flicking through the latest magazines after a truly wonderful treatment. Thank you for existing!!

Fantastic SPA. Most definitely the best in Geneva when it comes to services and prices.
Always a welcoming smile and really the manicure, pedicure, waxing are fantastic. I have already sent 2 of my friends there and there were also impressed.
I will be trying massage next.

Thanks Glocals for a fab suggestion! Had the best massage in a long, long time (better and less expensive than the one I had at Lausanne Palace.) Tip - if you come by car figure out where to park (e.g. in an underground) ahead of time. Most of the parking nearby is 90 min only.

"I have tried Floatation and it's wonderful!!!!

I went to Float Spa for my Mama mio pregnancy treatments and was very happy with this spa. I have been back with my baby for pedicure/manicure/waxing and beauty rooms are so big that you could bring three prams into them so baby slept through the treatments while mummy was having a bikini wax!! I had best facial ever with Ilham and best pedicure of all time with Danay. I also had eyelash extensions with Ilham before the birth. Was very pleased with the extensions. She has been doing them for 11 years so i guess has lots of experience.

"I totally recommend this place. The Float Spa is the place for women in this city that are looking for a sanctuary and/or beauty treatments, and I have already become a regular there. The place is designed in a girly style, with all things girls love: pink deco, magazines, diet coke, chocolates etc.. making it the perfect place for some girly me time. The treatments are excellent and professional: I've probably had the best pedicure and best facial I've ever had. And the service is extremely friendly."

"I would highly recommend the Float Spa to anybody!

I had the best facial I think I've ever had - it was fantastic and the overall spa experience was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and the treatment was very well personalised to my skin type. The spa was gorgeous and finished to high standard with a nice, large large treatment room which isn't very common in Geneva.

I certainly intend on becoming a regular here."

"If you love to take time out to relax & be pampered, the Float Spa is the newest & most scrumptious spa in Geneva. The small cosy spa is everything you could dream of. Girlie decor & cinema theme. It's simply divine. A vast choice of treatments including (but are not limited too) floatation, all sorts of massages & some crazy waxing techniques. It's all definitely worth trying out. Tea, coffee & diet coke on hand & there’s a small shop to buy the delicious products. The staff are 1st class & their priority is to give a 1st class service. Don't wait any longer.. go check it out. You'll love it!"
