Going there makes me happy all the time.
Food is delicious and people are friendly... what else?

"This is more than a vegetarian restaurant ! This is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Europe (since 1898) and this is also the vegetarian restaurant where I can bring my friends meat-eaters and they love it ! Gorgeous food and nice service. In their new place you can see the kitchen under your feets when you walk the stairs. I can only recommend this place ! Try their home made pesto, it's a killer !" and still the normal standard Vegi quality but for too much money so as a dutchy i go down on two from three that should be there

I love it and I love it and I love it. It is my favorite restaurant in town. I find the buffet exceptional, the Indian bites excellent and since there is so much turnover, the food is always freshly prepared. Additionally, when one think about the variety that is on offer and all of that vegetarian, it is amazing. My mind, body and spirit always feel great going there. I recommend trying their homemade lemon lemonade.

Saying that this is a very good restaurant, will be like watching the sun in the light of the candle. Time and time again rated the best and loved by people all over, pure veg restaurant... if u haven't tasted Hiltl, you haven't been in Zurich.
But even more than the restaurant and the food, what I love is the ambiance in their bar. Sipping a cocktail and having dinner in the bar itself either watching people dance tango or listening to a live performance... That's the perfect date for a couple in luv :-)

Really fabulous food (and I self-identify as a meat-lover usually), will try to go there everytime I visit Zurich. The por kilo buffet is excellent (and extensive) so I always opt for that over the a la carte; definitely worth a visit if you're interested in good food at a great venue, and an absolute must for anyone who's vegetarian. Exceedingly jealous that we don't have one here in Geneva!

Disagree with the previous reviewer.. not to make a review about this!!! What a strange comment!! For any new people to Zurich this is the best place to eat if you are a veggie. I will HIGHLY miss this when i move to Geneva. If only they would open one there... :-(

"I really like the Hiltl.
Their veggie-stuff is so completely in a different league compared to other restaurants that it almost defies description.
It's tasteful, cooked but still crisp. Often marinated, but the original taste is still there an neither are too dominant.
The salads are tasty without being buried in sauce.

The lunch is < 30 CHF with one of those 7 CHF exotic juice mixes.
But it's not lunch, it's an experience.
At least, if you like good food and are sick of bad food ;-)"

Just about the best service I have ever had. Well worth a daypass on the train from Geneva. Incredibly yummy food! Even my tea was lovely. I love Hiltl =)
