The International Ski Club of Geneva offers transport and ski classes on Saturdays and Sundays during the winter season.
You can take classes from "very beginner" level to off-piste/free ride.

You can take classes, ski with nice people and get to know many ski areas in France at a fair price.
No need to join every time: Just sign up on Thursdays for the coming Saturday or Sunday.
As soon as your level has increased the ski teacher will send you to a higher class.
Teachers change every time so you won't be with the same person all the season.
You can even join now. Not necessary to start in December. The season ends in April.
