Mindfulbalance Geneva - Stress Reduction Courses

0 Reviews
Mindfulbalance Geneva regularly runs the world renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course. This course is modeled after the world-renowned Stress Reduction Program founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre (UMMC). This clinic is the oldest and largest stress reduction clinic in the world.

MINDFULNESS practice is a simple way to reconnect with your inner resources and restore a balance within yoursef. It is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life, a way of taking charge of your life, a way of doing for yourself what no one else can do for you - consciously and systematically working with your own stress, pain, illness and the challenges or demands of everyday life.

By paying more attention to the present moment, you can begin to appreciate what you already have. In this sense it is the key to a fuller life.

Increasingly there is published research which indicates that the majority of participants in the MBSR Course report improvements over a wide number of physical and psychological areas. In general, participants who completed the Course at the University of Massachusetts report:
- Increased ability to relax
- Increased ability to cope with stress effectively
- Reductions in pain levels and an enhanced capacity to deal with pain that will not go away
- Greater energy and joy
- Improved self-esteem
- Lasting decreases in physical and psychological symptoms
- Improved sleep quality
- Reduction in anxiety

The next course will begin on November 3rd at 7:30 pm. There will be an orientation session one week prior to the start of the course.
