The place is great to grab a quick lunch amidst live music! Also they have screens where they keep playing football, rugby or any other sports. Overall the place is a good gathering place for friends.

Mixed feelings on Pcikwicks. Even though Im not a spring chicken i enjoy a good pub. Prices are a little high and the bartender (a young lady) was serving drinks at one price and the other bartender (a young man) another. It was cheaper with the girl. The food is OK but nothing to rave about and you wouldnt crave to go their for a fish and chips. The ambiance is good as well on certain nights and I would recommend to go because its a good pub.

If you want to watch sports in Geneva, this is the place to be. Premier League, Italian, French, Spanish, Champions League, Rugby, Cricket, US NFL, Baseball, etc.

Last week, they upgraded about 10 of their older TVs with bigger, better LCD screens and it's awesome!

The staff in charge of showing the games, especially US NFL on Sunday evenings seem really hostile to the NFL crowd, though, and always have to be asked to keep the audio up loud enough, to show different games, etc. And, they usually force everyone upstairs during half time of the second game, even though upstairs is too loud with music or others to actually hear the game.

Food: not so good. It's edible, sure, but price/quality is not great. And, what, no pasta dishes? I ask for one thing: make sure the curry is spicy and cut the veggies! You shouldn't need a knife to eat a curry.

And the staff: hit or miss. Some people are a delight; others are really not people-persons.

"Picks use to be an expat favourite but unfortunatly in recent years the beer & food prices have risen drastically whilst the quality of the beer (one of the worst in GVA) and staff efficiency have taken a sudden drop (except for the kiwis (kiwis)).

pros > Loads of screens / Fantastic plat du jour (weekdays) at a very good price.

Cons > quality of the beer, prices, staff efficiency, and low number of employees."

"Two floors of one of the most popular pubs in town. Its always crowded and full of Swiss and ex-pats alike. Monday night is quiz night, but better bring some brainy people who are specialized in British and/or American culture. Their Halloween parties are fab and they know how to pack in the people for watching sports and drinking COLD beer. During the weekend they host a variety of live bands and those also seem to pull in a good crowd."

"Certainly not the cheapest beer in town, but always a nice atmosphere. Tops for watching sports. (and TOPS! for watching pretty bartenders :-))"

"My 2 cents on pickwicks is that .. it's a nice pub. I like the ones in the old town much more (spring bro. being my favourite), but Pickwick is really nice. They Always have sports on, and almost every popular event (Rugby, Football, the Leagues, Formula 1 etc), food is ok, beer too and downstair is cool when they have special parties or events."

"Not bad, staff speaks (only?) English, food is OK, and they have an extraoridinary beer: Scottish Ale Belhaven! A bit overpriced out of happy hour, and far too smoky when crowded"

"Mr Pickwicks is a huge Sports-bar with a ton of televisions/screens where you can watch pretty much any sport you can think of.

As mentioned before, the food and service are both not too impressive, but the atmosphere is good and the Englsih language rules.

If you're looking for 5 star service and gourmet food, keep walking. But if you just want a cool place to have a few beers, watch a game, and forget how bad your French is, Pickwicks does the trick for sure."
