We went there for our one year anniversary and had thought it would be very special, but it was a total disappointment. There was hardly anything good. The food was very expensive and nothing much at all. I've had better French food everywhere else. The selection of wine is pretty ordinary too. Even the way the food is presented is not special at all. I would say the location is perfect and they could come up with something better there. A big disappointment and even a "moulleux au chocolat" was so ordinary there. Please do not go there to eat a meal, maybe a tea or coffee in the afternoon/evening is nice, but I'd say summertime is better. Otherwise even the tea and coffee is just plain and simple ordinary. I don't recommend this place at all. Its nothing great!

Not worth going to dinner here, at least not yet. Nearly tasteless food at relatively high prices with inattentive service.

I was invited to dinner here several weeks ago. I ordered the filet de St. Pierre. It was almost tasteless and that might have been because it appeared to have been made from frozen fish. My friend had a filet of beef which she did not enjoy either. She told me that she had enjoyed the previous meal she had there but that she, too, was disappointed with her meal.

It's too bad because as others have mentioned, the setting is great, the Parc des Bastions is fantastic, and the location is central.

I would still go there for coffee and dessert. It is a lovely place to hang out. The flip side of the inattentive service is that you can sit there for quite long periods and read or people watch while you sip your drinks.

We had dinner last night at Restaurant du Parc de Bastions. The setting is indeed very nice - but I will only come back here for a coffee because both of us had severe stomach problems later! We think it was perhaps the butter used. And the creme brulee was definitely off. The wine by the glass we drank, not on the menu, was very good.

I just had a really nice dinner with my family for a special event (using our BuyClub coupons). The food was very good and the prices were reasonable for what you get and considering you are in Geneva. The atmosphere was also very nice with the combination of chandeliers, glass roof and panes and decorative lighting. Also very friendly staff.

I love this place for coffee and the belle epoque decoration. Great to chill and meet.

"I am actualy writing this review while sitting in the cafe/restaurant at the Parc de Bastions.

I love the free wifi and the very accomodating staff, and though I've never eaten here, its a very nice spot to have some coffee, watch people playing oversized chess, and just relax and surf the net (if you brought your laptop)

The park itself is nicer in summer, when it is full of students and people on break, but very beautiful in winter too."
