We had a rather bad experience on Saturday at the restaurant. It was actually a shock to us. The reservations where made in advance; we arrived on time, 7pm. The restaurant was beautiful; upon greeting us, we were told that we are seated not in the main restaurant room. We were then taken through the kitchen/work room to a small room, just 3-4 tables and a bar, with no background music, noise coming from the street, and where seated right by the entrance to the bathroom. The restaurant was still empty with only one table occupied in the main room. It was quite a disappointment, we asked to be seated in the main room, but they said everything was booked. Then we asked for a smaller table, so we are not seated right by the bathroom (my husband would actually have to be moved every time for people to go to the restroom; our request was declined once again. I mentioned that I was my birthday, but there was no reaction whatsoever. The barman/waiter even added that it is the best table in the restaurant! We asked once again to be seated somewhere else and once again they refused. When we stood up to leave, they were extremely unhappy. We have no idea why we were so unwelcome at this place: we did have a discount offer that we used from La Fourchette and our kid was with us. If it was truly the best table at the restaurant, I am sure some other clients would have been happy to take it. For sure we will never go back, and it doesn’t matter how good the food might be, but such service is definitively not acceptable.
