website: http://L'Institut is so new that their web site is not up yet.
I went here with the Buyclub voucher and can not tell you how nice they were here. I saw Stephan and he was so nice and funny as well as spoke great English!
My hair is super cute, he did not push me to do anything crazy. He took his time and the salon is all brand new!
As of today May, 17th they were having 40% off womans and mens cuts!

I bought a BuyClub voucher for this place as the place was recommended to me by a friend - I do not know whether it was related to the fact that I had a voucher and not paying the "full" price but worst experience ever (and I actually do speak French, born and raised in CH) : already the welcoming was super unfriendly and then I was waiting for approx. 20 min until someone asked me what I am doing here - I answered I am waiting for my haircut - apparently there was nobody assigned to be and finally a young girl (who seemed to be more than an apprentice) did the haircut: worst ever. All in all: it was a huge disappointment and I do not understand why Buyclub is keep selling their vouchers.

I bought a BuyClub voucher for a haircut at Wella this summer and had a rather "interesting" experience there this morning. My stylist was Elena - I have longer brown, thin hair and just wanted some layers and shaping. After washing my hair she applied a masque as conditioner but applied it mainly to the roots, and rubbed my hair partly dry with a towel. When she started combing my hair she didn't brush it out all the way, only using a fine tooth comb and kept exclaiming about how tangly it was. She proceeded with the cut without having fully combed it out, and seemed perpetually surprised at the tangles. Instead of taking the time to re-apply some conditioner or to brush it out adequately, there was a lot of hacking at my hair with her tiny comb, as though she was trying to go faster and faster to make up for continually having to pick up her comb. At one point she accidentally started hacking at a tangle with her layering comb (the kind that has a sharp edge between the tines for making layers) and hacked out a huge section of my long hair (fortunately underneath...). She seemed competent otherwise and gave me a great cut, but I have thin hair already and can't afford to be losing hair to her comb. I am generally an easy-going person and not demanding or picky about my hair, but I will not be going back. Far too stressful. I bought a masque from Manor on the way home to try to comfort my poor hair.

I have to say that otherwise Elena was very competent and did a great cut, and the other staff were very friendly and professional. I wonder if they just don't have good masques for my hair type or if Elena felt like she had to rush to meet her next appointment. It seems like Wella could have more products for tangly hair and build in more flex time for their staff between cuts.

I visited Wella Institute for the first time and my hair has never looked better. My hairstylist did an amazing job and was super professional. Totally worth the trip. I definitely recommend you try out this salon!

I've been to Wella Institute twice with buyclub vouchers this summer and fall (2014). The first time I saw Marie and had a great experience. She really listened to be and understood what I wanted. She did the cut very well and also made the experience quite pleasant (good massage when she shampooed, offered me coffee, etc.)

The second time I went I was in a bit of a hurry to get an appointment and didn't wait to book with Marie. That turned out to be a mistake. I had a man this time and unfortunately I don't remember his name. He didn't speak English, which might be problem for some people. He waS very polite and cut my hair reasonably well. The proproblem is that he didn't cut it how I wanted it at all. I came in with photos and a clear idea of what I wanted: cut to collarbone length, layered and sideswept fringe in front. He cut to just below chin length (probably 7cms shorter than I indicated) with no fringe and lots of layers in the back. Since he started in back with my head turned down, I had no way of knowing that he'd cut so much off until it was already done...by that time, I was a bit in shock and let him do what he wanted.

Again, the overall result isn't terrible, it's just really not what I asked for. I get the impression that many stylists inthis salon want to do whatever cut or technique is trendy at the moment rather than listening to the customer.

So, out of two experiences, I had one great one and one not so great. I would go back if I could get an appointment with Marie, but probably wouldn't risk it with someone else again.

I wish I had these reviews earlier! I just came from the salon and had almost the identical experience with Beatrice and the manager of the salon.
After spending close to 45 mins talking to me about my hair color, I had to stop her because she was not applying any to the roots. She also wanted to use the "painting" technique and the effect would have been a crown of dark roots with blond highlights. After much discussion, I asked her to remove the color and left.
It was really very much as the other reviewer wrote. The manager was horribly rude and Beatrice clearly does not know what she is doing.

I had an ok experience with a young man who cut my hair when I used my buy club voucher as well.

I have taken my young son, but had to wait almost an hour after our appointment time and the young woman did not give a very good cut (not short enough and didn't really want to deal with cutting a young boys hair).

I really can't recommend this salon for anyone in the family. It's just terrible!

Do not go here EVER! I would not have given any stars except my review would not go through if I didn't choose at least one.
I have been three times to this salon for a cut and while it hasn't been fabulous its been perfectly adequate. I know people who have been here for colour and highlights so I took my 17 year old daughter to have her hair highlighted. She has beautiful waist length blonde hair that she usually just has a few lighter bits added into the crown and front. I asked for their senior colourist and was given an appointment with Beatrice. We asked for a subtle cool blonde highlight through the front and crown and she immediately brought over her manager to discuss this after which she left to mix the colour. She said she didn't want to use foils as she believed that they damaged the hair so just painted colour on, placing each layer of hair coloured one over the other with nothing in between. The end result was a horrible yellow golden circle on top of my daughters head that had bled down through the layers below giving it a very artificial patchy colour and look.and straw dry tangled hair. We immediately asked for the manager who was beyond rude, teasing us about how upset we were and being very sarcastic about our whole complaint. She was unwilling to do anything to fix it. Beartrice apologised profusely, agreed that it looked terrible and said she didn't know what had happened, that she had cleared the colour with her manager. the manager then stopped the discussion with us to go and look after another customer who had wandered in telling us three times that we could just wait despite my daughter being in tears at what had happened. Anyway to finish we left immediately and called Toni and Guy for an emergency appointment. When we arrived at the salon said they had never seen such bizarre colour and it looked like it had been done by someone who knew nothing about colouring hair. They spent 4.5 hours fixing the damage to a point where my daughter was ok about it however it will take many hundreds of dollars and several visits over the next few months to return her hair to what it was before. Absolutely stay away from the Wella Institute.

Been to Wella a few times now and couldn't recommend it more. A lovely salon, several great precision hair cuts and a good colour. I would very much recommend Beatrice for both colour and cut.
