The Centre des arts is delighted to host a special exhibition highlighting the extraordinary life of Audrey Hepburn through a remarkable graphic novel by Eileen Hofer and Christopher, published by Michel Lafon. The vernissage will take place on Tuesday 7 May at 17:30.

Born in Ixelles, Belgium, on 4 May 1929 and deceased in Tolochenaz, Switzerland, on 20 January 1993, Audrey Hepburn captured hearts around the world with her natural elegance and sparkling charm. From her humble beginnings in the Netherlands to her meteoric rise in Hollywood in the 1950s as Hubert de Givenchy's muse, this exhibition traces her exceptional career.
Despite the challenges she faced, including poor health and a childhood marked by World War II, Audrey found her way onto the stage and the silver screen, winning an Oscar and many other prestigious awards. But it was when she took on the roles of mother and UNICEF ambassador that Audrey probably discovered her greatest calling. She used her fame to help the most vulnerable, devoting herself in particular to humanitarian aid for children.

What makes this exhibition so special is its immersive approach through the graphic novel. Words mingle with drawings to create a unique and intimate universe, offering visitors a profound and moving experience.

From the story of the scriptwriters to the genesis of the project, via the original plates evoking the talent of the cartoonist, every aspect of this exhibition is carefully designed to immerse you in the fascinating world of Audrey Hepburn.
