Free hikes on the Saleve

Sunday, September 6th, 2026 @ 10:00
Veyrier-Douane, Geneva
Every Sunday, we meet up at 10 am at the bus shelter of TPG bus 8 in Veyrier-Douane (we wait for the bus 8 leaving Gare Cornavin at 9:38 am). No need to sign up, just come.
Depending on the number of volunteer guides present, several itineraries may be proposed. Expect 2-4 hours of ascent at a steady pace (850 meters of altitude gain at varying distances from the starting point), plus almost 2 hours of descent, or you can get down by cable car.
A good physical condition is essential. You will need proper hiking shoes, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, a wind-/rainproof jacket, and hiking poles (optional). Take some money, and your passport as the Saleve is in France. Bring a picnic and enough water; there is no drinking water along the hiking paths.
This Sunday we are planning to offer an additional hike to the "Fete du Saleve", departing from Croix-de-Rozon. Details to be confirmed on our website closer to the time: https://www.saleve.xyz/english/ - "Additional hikes".
