Free hike to the Fete du Saleve 2026

We are the people organising free hikes on the Saleve every Sunday (https://www.saleve.xyz). This Sunday we also offer an additional meet-up point to hike to the Fete du Saleve 2026, which will be held at the Alpage du Pomier, not far from the highest point of Mont Saleve. Meet up at Croix-de-Rozon-Douane at 8:30 a.m. No need to sign up, just come. We will wait for the TPG buses 82 arriving 8:24 and 44 arriving 8:32 (find your connection here: https://www.tpg.ch/en/travel/plan-journey/routes).
The hike to the Fete will be uphill all the time, with a really steep bit at the end. Distance there and back 15 km, elevation gain 850 metres. Expect three hours for the way up and a bit less for the way down. Depending on how long we stay at the Fete, we should be back at Croix-de-Rozon by about 5 or 5:30 pm.
Wear proper hiking boots that don't give you blisters and bring enough drinking water, there is no water along the hiking paths. Take a hat, sun protection, a windbreaker or rainproof jacket, some Euros, and your passport as we will be hiking in France.
