This is an International Ski Club of Geneva (SCIG) outing.

From Trient, Le Peuty (which is on the Tour de Mont Blanc) we ascend leisurely (sometimes on asphalt, sometimes on a trail) with views of the huge Glacier du Trient spilling down from 1500 meters above us, to the Buvette du Glacier du Trient. We go a little farther until the trail gets rocky, where we will eat our picnic. We return to the buvette for a drink or tart. We take a very easy stroll along a nearly flat bisse (a small aqueduct) to the Col de la Forclaz.Maximum participation: 12 persons

Elevation gain: 330 m,
Elevation loss: 180 m,
Walking time: About 2-3 hours

In case of bad weather: If the weather forecast is bad, we will cancel. I'll send an email midday the day before the hike with my decision.
