Existential risk reduction: the missing SDG?
Monday, November 12th, 2018 @ 19:00
Maison des Associations, 15 Rue des Savoises, 1205 Geneva, Geneva
Oliver Bramford will introduce the topic of existential risks - from accidents in technological research to targeted attacks and natural catastrophes.
Ollie is a co-founder of the Good Growth Co (https://www.goodgrowth.io/), a growth consultancy for high-impact organisations which aims to help EA and existential-risk organisations scale their impact. He has been a digital strategy consultant for the last 6 years, and now leads the delivery of client work at Good Growth. He recently published a report on the Bottlenecks and Solutions for the X-Risk Ecosystem: http://effective-altruism.com/ea/1t …
The presentation will be followed by a discussion on the relevance of the topic and what one can or should do. At 8:30 pm we will head to one of the bars on the street - message us if you can't find us.
