Time again for another backgammon meet up! This one is going to be a bit of a different format than usual. First now that Clubhouse is closed we'll be meeting this time at Mr. Pickwick Pub (see address below). Not sure if this will be our permanent home but it’s a great and friendly pub so seeing how this works out.

Second is that we are doing this event in cooperation with organizer of the upcoming backgammon tournament the following weekend that I've also posted previously. See more details here:

So we'll still be playing social matches with each other as usual. However, we'll also be offering lessons and training for both general game play and for the upcoming tournament. So I extra encourage any players looking to improve their game or planning to come to the tournament to attend.

Not sure our exact location yet inside the bar but most likely we'll be downstairs where there is a bit more space. Just look for the backgammon boards. We start about 7pm but come when you can, no big issues for late arrivals as it's casual. Note they offer a happy hour from 6:30-7:30pm so make sure to grab a drink soon as you arrive!

Anyone with a board feel free to bring but not a requirement as we will have some with us as well. We’ll also have clocks on hand if you want to practice with. If you want to review the international standard rules we usually play by and some common strategies have a look at the link here:
