Hiking with Dogs - Christmas Edition - Mont Mussy, FR

Hiking with Dogs - Christmas Edition - Mont Mussy, FR Picture
Sunday, December 19th, 2021 @ 12:00
Mont Mussy, France, Geneva

******Please note that this event will now start at midday instead of 10am as it will be hunting season in France. Hunting finishes at midday*******

*****For this Christmas Edition of Geneva Hiking with Dogs, please feel free to dress your dog/ yourselves festively!******

The route will be an easy loop of Mont Mussy, near Divonne-les-Bains in France and we will be walking for around 1.5 hours.

This route is mostly through the forest on narrow paths, popular with local dog walkers and families. If you see other hikers, particularly with children, please ensure your dog stays close to you and not bother other people enjoying this walk, as children often get scared when they see a big group of dogs running towards them.

The walk will start at 12pm on Sunday 19th December. Meeting point will be the parking situated by La Ferme du Mont Mussy. GPS coordinates: 46°21'13.0"N and 6°07'18.8"E

For those of you coming from CH, don't forget to bring your passport as the walk is in France.

Please only come if your dog is -
- Old enough to walk for 1.5 hours (no puppies under the age of 10 months, unless you're able to carry them)
- Friendly with other dogs
- Obedient (good recall, particularly in situations where we may come across wild animals)
- In good health (no diarrhoea, coughing, limping, recovering after an operation, etc)

Owners are responsible for their own dogs.

Geneva hiking with dogs is a voluntary group and cannot be held responsible for any accidents/incidents during one of its walks. There are times when we will meet other walkers/dogs, so please keep your dog under control at these times.

If your dog is exhibiting antisocial behaviour you will be asked to put your dog on a lead.

Children are welcome on this walk. Please ensure there are enough adults to keep an eye on your children and dogs in order to keep every one safe.

Please let me know in advance if your dog has any behavioural issues i.e. Fear of larger dogs, dominance, etc and we can agree if your dog can join but be kept on a lead, muzzled etc.
