On Sunday August 7, I’m organizing a hike to Pointe de sales 2497 m. This summit is located at the extreme north of the Fiz. It is the most accessible top of this Chain. It offers a splendid view on Mont Blanc chain (south), the valley and lake of Anterne, Villy, Buet, Grenairon and Tête de Colonney (west). Etc. ….
We start from Lignon car park (1180m). We go up through the forest and admire a chain of waterfalls. Around the Chalet de Sales, the ibex and chamois are numerous. A few hundred meters higher, marmots, whistling, hide and leave the trail to us...

Gradient gain about 1320 m. Length (both ways) about 18km. There is no major technical difficulty, but the hike is sporty and requires a good degree of physical effort.

Appointment: 7:30 at Veyrier-Douane, final stop of bus n° 8. Inscription is obligatory.
Equipment: good mountain shoe, hat, gloves, warm-cold and waterproof clothes, sticks, picnic, drink. All participants must be well-prepared and have all equipment with them.

There is a participation fee of 5 Euro for a daily license of the French hiking federation FFRP.
Passengers in the vehicle pay directly to the driver € 0.10 per km.
