Stroll 197: Perly-Bernex

For this walk, we will meet at 11h00 at bus-tram stop Stand along the Rhône river - the stop of tram 14 (to Bernex) and bus D (to St. Julien). We will take bus D at 11h08 and get off at Perly Douane around 11h30 (you can also hop on the bus on the way or join us at Perly Douane).
We will cross the border into France (take your ID card or passport along), walking along the Aïre river. We will pass through the hamlets of Thaïry and Norcier and then make our way back into Switzerland, towards Sezenove. From there we will walk through the vineyards towards the Coteau de Bernex, with view over the whole region. We walk down to Bernex village and take the bus-tram back to Geneva.
Do take food and drinks for the picnic, plus something to sit upon.
The walk is 8 to 9 km. We will take it easy and walk for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Expect to be back in town around 15h30-16h00.
Do register only if you are sure to attend.
