For this new route, we will meet at Cornavin railway station, platform 5, at 10h40. Platform 5 is at the south end of the station between platforms 4 and 6. We take the RER train which leaves at 10h48 (your monthly pass or regular public transport ticket is also valid in this train). We get off at Satigny station, arrival 11h00 - you can also join us at there if that is more convenient.

From Satigny station, we walk mostly downhill along the Nant d'Avril river towards Peney Dessous, where we can watch birds at the arm of the Rhône river. We will then continue through the forest in the direction of Vernier, We will go down towards the Rhône river, cross the bridge near Lignon and go up to Loëx. From there, we can take a bus direction Onex and then a tram towards the centre of town.

Do take food and drinks for the picnic, plus something to sit upon.

The walk is 10 km. We will take it easy and walk for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Expect to be back in town around 15h00-15h30.
