Stroll 200: Genthod to Pâquis - meet at 10h50
Saturday, April 6th, 2024 @ 11:00
, Geneva
You are kindly invited to the 200th stroll, which will take place coming Saturday. The weather forecast is good.
We will meet at platform 1 of Cornavin railway station (on the quai, near the automatic stairs at the front of the train) at 10h50 and then take the 11h00 train to Creux-de-Genthod - a 10-minutes ride (monthly and annual tickets as well as regular 3 CHF public transport tickets are also valid in this train). You can also join us at Creux-de-Genthod or an intermediate station.
We will walk through Genthod, the Tuileries and Chambesy, direction Pregny. We will make our way down through the Parc des Penthes and the Botanical Gardens to reach the lakeside. We will continue towards the Bains des Pâquis for a drink to celebrate 200 countryside strolls.
We will have a little picnic on the way - take food and drinks along! (and something to sit upon)
Distance: about 10 km. - regular walking or running shoes are fine.
We will take it easy and walk for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Expect to be back in town by 15h00.
For the 200th stroll, no limit on number of participants - the more, the merrier!
cheers,
Bert
