Book Selection: The Booker Prize 2026

The Booker Prize has rewarded and celebrated world-class talent for over 55 years, shaping the canon of 20th and 21st century literature. This year’s selection, which was chosen from 163 submissions, celebrates the best works of long-form fiction by writers of any nationality, written in English and published in the UK and/or Ireland between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026.
Before the winning book is announced on 9 November 2026, the Geneva International Book Club will vote on the short list and choose our own winner to read in 2026!

Format:
Part 1: Presenters provide a short overview of the pre-selected books, highlighting some of the reviews and critics and other relevant background. Members who have read any of the books can contribute.
Part 2: Participants vote for the book to be read and discussed in an upcoming book discussion meeting.
