Hello Glocals,

Do you already know "le Creux du Van", one of the TOP 10 Swiss hiking destinations? Or are you ready to go back as it was so nice last time?

Here an extract from the official page describing the hike:
"I lace up my brand new shoes at the station in Noiraigue, ready to climb the Grand Canyon of Val-de-Travers. After an hour of gentle but constant climbing, the first métairie (or farm restaurant) appear. Here I find some refreshment before attacking the sentier des 14 contours, a narrow path with many hairpin bends. At the top, all my efforts are rewarded by the stunning view and rocky cirque laid out in front of me. I continue along the edge of the cirque and start the quite steep descent of the sentier du Single towards the Ferme Robert. The fountain at the foot of the cliff refreshes me. I’ll soon be at Noiraigue."

Weather previsions: cloudy with sunny intervals, rain after 5pm

This is a test of interest to see who is motivated to join. Posibility to switch the hike to Sunday but weather is supposed to be less good.

We can meet at 11am at the Noirague Train Station. You can arrive by car or by train from all main Swiss cities; here some train schedules (please verify as this is from last year):

There is a stop over in Neuchatel where you will get the direct line to Noirague at 10:40 plateform 7.

Please bring your lunch with you to have a picnic at the top!
Weather is going to be sunny but not too hot. We should be back at Noirague around 5pm. There is the possibility to go for a drink in Neuchatel after the hike.
