Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 @ 19:00
Librairie-café Les Recyclables: 53, rue de Carouge, Geneva
Perfume, by Patrick Süskind, German 1985: The Story of a Murderer: is about Jean-Baptiste Grenouille who the author strongly portrays as despicable and sub-human. He suffers from hyperosmia and has no body odour. Grenouille is only interesting in learning about and creating scents and has an incredible ability to distinguish individual scents even from great distances. He is repungnant to the others who meet him in France and he doesn't much mind as he is far more obsessed with obtainning and mastering the perfect scent - even if he has to murder to get it.
