shyft (www.shyft.org) in collaboration with Impact Hub Geneva cordially invites you to the screening of POC – 21 (in English) a documentary about a new-age bold innovation camp for open source that took place in 2015 in a grand chateau in France.

100 GEEKS 5 WEEKS 1 FUTURE

POC21 is an international innovation community that started as an innovation camp. The camp brought together 100+ makers, designers, engineers, scientists and geeks. Late summer 2015, we have joined forces in a stunning french castle to prototype the fossil free, zero waste society. Our ultimate goal was to overcome the destructive consumer culture and make open-source, sustainable products the new normal. Over the course of 5 weeks we developed 12 sustainable lifestyle technologies and built an international community of innovators and supporters that continues to grow.
Sam Muirhead, the filmmaker did his best to condenses the 5 weeks vast experience into a 60min documentary, giving short glimpses of the 12 projects and the people behind it. The documentary gives room for questions and more information regarding the projects which can be explored on camps website www.poc21.cc

WHAT IS SHYFT?
Coming to a shyft screening does not mean you sit around and watch a film together but it is a unique opportunity to meet like-minded and like-hearted people in your own communities. Best part of the every shyft screening that we introduce one or several local initiatives/ start-ups/ organisations - working or doing something similar to what the documentary/ film speaks about. Thus giving YOU, the audience an opportunity to not just be passive listeners but active participants of the process of change and channel your inspirations at the end of the film into these initiatives with whatever you can offer at the moment.

shyft is a communal social enterprise where we support indie and small budget filmmakers for the inspirational meaningful movies they make and empower them further to make more such along the way for more of us to watch, learn and take conscious action. Therefore all funds collected here as a small ticket price go into purchasing Public Performance Screening rights from the filmmakers. We of course welcome you to give whatever you can so we can sustain shyft further.
