Hey Jet... I always had a dream of becoming a pilot when I was younger. Just took my first flight lesson in Scottsdale, Arizona--two months ago, and only one month before I moved here. I'm a travel junkie (20 countries in 5 years), and hope to get back up in the air again some time soon. Speaking of flying, I saw postings for paragliding groups (lessons) on this site a while back. Just went to Annecy lake in France and saw the paragliders along the mountain ridges--amazing! I just might be inspired to fly again soon! FYI, there are some events coming up for 'newbies'... happy hours that bring new members together. I went to one, and plan to go to more. Very cool, engaging and open-minded people!

I wanted to be a pilot when I was in high school, got distracted by computers along the way though lol.

yeah, me too ... would love to participate in a beginners flying workshop 
never piloted an aircraft before - so in the wannabe category haha (but like some others here, have always dreamed of getting my license too)!
in exchange could teach you how to drive a motorboat or in the future sailing (just learning now myself), or waterski, wakeboarding etc...
looking forward to meeting up soon and all the best!
