Once again .. another Super Sunday !

perfect sunny weather - good water conditions - friendly glocalers - excellent bbq

..what else could we ask for?

while stella, david, and beda were gently kayaking around ... vicky and antonia were
monitoring the waves outside of the protective walls of the port channel - anticipating the thrill and excitement of racing across the wakes on 2 narrow strips of contoured wood (a/k/a water skiing

by the time francisco and the courageous skier girls and i returned from the big blue the grill was glowing and inviting the bbq stuff to begin! oh yeah... sammy was catching a few zzzzzz while the water-lovers were getting their fix. thanks so much for all the helping hands to prepare the tables, chairs and turn the sizzling grill food into a delicious feast

unfortunately.. marianna called and somehow got off in nyon (instead of founex) and was stuck in the crowds of the triathalon in front of the swimming pool !?

claire.. only arrived around dessert time (due to an earlier appointment but, was very nice seeing you and discussing and to build up the windsurf board for the next time

after about 5-6 hours at the lake front with all the boating and feasting - ellen and sammy continued on to vevey and the party slowly disbanded...

Part II

the late comers: iain (the dentist), sarah (the event planner), ben (the graphic designer) and myself (the entrepreneur) came back to have the rests from the bbq (the food stuff had been wisely re-packed in the coolers.. and even the grill was still glowing at around 7pm! so, after a few bites and drinks we all headed back out on the léman for some sunset wakeboarding this was really waaaay too cool to describe in words so...

Watch out for the pics < coming soon >

A big thank You to all who made this one more super sunday!! ..and maybe see You next weekend* ?

Many thanks to Edward for generously hosting this super event on his wonderful private beach in Founex. Although I had to leave early for child-ferrying duties, it was great to kayak around in the lake and to meet such nice people. I look forward to the next time and the prospect of falling off water-skis!  David

mmmmmmmmmm.....the food smelt good but due to a tummy upset was unable to get a bite!  However, during my short visit to this hideaway in Founex I discovered fun Glocals and a super scenic view of the lake and mountains.  My first attempt in a kayake was most enjoyable and it won't be the last.  Thank you Edward for being such a kind host!

I would say it was a perfect Sunday afternoon.
And even though I was not lucky enough to do water skiing but kayaking in lake itself was an amazing experience. This is certainly an activity which I will be doing a lot more in future.
Thanks Edward for the invite and see u soon in future.
