Hi all,

I will be starting my PhD in Lausanne as of 1st october. I am looking forward to my new job and to living in this beautiful city. I can read/understand some french, and in my search for an appartment my "french" emails have been replied to, so I can apparently make it clear enough what i mean ;-) (and this is good, because I was told that as part of my job, I would also be assisting in teaching undergrad students, in French...)

I hope to see some of you soon in various events in and around Lausanne and I hope to share experiences with you on living in Switzerland.

Cheers

Hi ya, and welcome to the Lausanners' side of Glocals life!!!...

Seeing that you'll be here on the 1st Oct, don't miss out on our monthly afterwork drinks (organised by 'Jasper')... They are held on the first Friday of every month and are a truly great way to plunging right in and meeting loads of friendly others (activity posting goes up one week before).

Most probably see you there... cheers! :-) J.
