Moving a health insurance

Hi,

i just moved from Zurich to Geneva and tried to update my Health insurance (I am with SanSan). I am required to keep them on the track.

However, SanSan is probably the most expensive insurance company in Geneva. My premium would increase by more than 100% while the actual offer remains constant. I have been with them for more than 4 yours and they never had to pay a penny for me (I have one of those deals where you pay up to 2000 CHF out of your own pocket).

This feels like a big rip off. At the same time I am not allowed to leave SanSan prior to January 2015.

If I remeber  corerctly one is allowed to quit from any insurance after having claimed any refund (irrespetive if they refunded or not), so then: go to a doctor, have 5 minutes chat, get an invoice, send it to your insurance, and when they answer you, write them a letter saying that you are quitting as you have riught to quit after any refund. (maybe better to check what's written on your  contract before)

Cheers
