CineTransat 2014: Invictus
Thursday, August 7th, 2014 @ 18:30
near Perle du Lac restaurant on the lake between Butini tram stop and WTO, Geneva
From IMDB: Nelson Mandela, in his first term as the South African President, initiates a unique venture to unite the apartheid-torn land: enlist the national rugby team on a mission to win the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
Clint Eastwood directs Morgan Freeman (Nelson Mandela) and Matt Damon (François Pienaar) in this fun movie. It really shows how desire, dedication, perseverance can really make this happen.
Don't miss it!
========IMPORTANT INFORMATION========
CINETRANSAT SITE: www.cinetransat.ch with location, directions, etc.
MY CELL PHONE NUMBER: +41.79.783.09.90 I don't always hear it, so leave a message and/or send a text and i'll call or text you back.
CineTransat is a free, open-air movie festival that runs every summer in Geneva for six weeks. It's on the lake, between the train station and the botanical gardens, near the Museum of History of Sciences and the Perle du Lac restaurant.
Movies start at sundown and you have to prepare for chilly evenings, as you will be sitting still for about two hours while watching the movie. In other words, dress warmly, bring sleeping bags, or blankets, etc.
I tend to get there between 18:30 and 19:00 to lay out blankets - FRONT ROW (that means closest to the screen), DEAD CENTER (that means directly in front of the projector) - for "our group" and then we have a picnic and hang out until sundown. Please *sign up* if you are going to join us and bring friends!
